How to I create a new account type in the COA? I am looking to add an account type to align with other franchises. I have looked through many of the help answers and it consistently talks about setting up the COA but we have it set up already. We are needing to add a type.

The function you've described above isn't available in QuickBooks.  I can see the benefit of having this function and I encourage you to send feedback about this to our engineers. You can send feedback by clicking on the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. New product ideas and improvements are based on the feedback we get from users like you.
