Question

Anyone have suggestions on what to do when you can't upload past transactions as a .CSV file? Thanks in advance.

Hi christinagliha,

QuickBooks Online bank feeds are a great feature to take advantage of for your business bookkeeping. Using the bank feeds means that you can reconcile quickly and easily, and you'll save tons of time with data entry. I'd be happy to explain the process of connecting your bank account and uploading transactions via CSV file.

If you're unable to sync your bank account to the feeds in QBO (perhaps your bank isn't supported), you're able to upload your transactions manually using a CSV file. If you've successfully connected your bank account, the CSV file is also used to bring in more than the allotted 90 days of transactions.

Here's more information about syncing your bank account to the bank feeds: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Here's a few resources on uploading transactions using a CSV file:

If you've given all the steps a try and you're still running into issues uploading your transactions, please reach out to our tech support team so an agent can take a closer look at what may be happening.

Cheers.
