Auto-add set rules are not being applied to the existing charges. Went and undid the recognized transactions but still won't apply my rule

Setting up auto-add rules is a great way to save time when using QuickBooks Online. I can help go over how the auto-add rules work and get you back to business.

 

When using the auto-add rules in QuickBooks Online they will only take effect on transactions made after their creation and not existing ones. If you wish to have them work on your previous transactions you'd need to completely delete the transaction and recreate it from scratch. Should that still not work it might be due to your browser using the previous cache and cookies. You can clear them by following the steps in this link or try using a different internet browser all together. You can also try a private browser mode such as Google Chrome's incognito mode after the cache and cookies have been deleted.
