Can I create a Rule called Gas , regardless of the Name of the Company of gas I buy , Ie. Shell , Costco, Esso , etc. Do I have do this separately for each company ?

To categorize and match your transactions effortlessly, you can create bank rules.  This feature enables you to enter specific details that you would like applied.  When transactions are updated into your QuickBooks Online account, QuickBooks will automatically categorize all transactions associated with the preferences you've selected, when creating the bank rule.
