Question

Can I upgrade from easy start for the sole purpose of importing a large number of bills. Once imported I was thinking of downgrading back to easy start. Thoughts?

I’m happy to see you in the Online Community, jimbaldner.

Yes, you can upgrade from QuickBooks EasyStart to a different version and then switch back to the previous one. Let’s go to the Billing & Subscription section to accomplish this task.

  1. In your QBO company, navigate to the Gear icon to select Account and Settings.
  2. When the page opens, go to the Billing & Subscription panel and then click the Upgrade link in the QuickBooks section.
  3. The Upgrade page appears and will show the list of features available from the version selected.
  4. Once you’re ready, hit the Upgrade button and follow the on-screen instructions to change the plan.

Just as heads up, if you’re provided with a promotional discount for the subscription, it will fall off when you upgrade. Please visit this site to learn more about the price for each plan: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/ca/friend-referral/.

After completing these steps, log in to the company and import the bills. If you want to go back to the EasyStart version, just follow the instructions in the Downgrade your QuickBooks Online plan article.
