Can’t save invoices on QBSE app

Sometime in the past two months the QBSE app stopped allowing me to save edits to invoices. I can make edits to invoices, however there is no save feature on the app so any edits made cannot be saved. The only way I can edit invoices is to do so by logging in to QBSE through the web browser.

Hi davidsq,

Welcome to Community!  It's essential that you're able to save your work in QuickBooks Self-Employed, so you can get back to what you love.  I'd be happy to assist!

Here's how to edit your invoice;

1. Open the Invoices tab

2. Click on the ▼ dropdown menu in the Action column and select Edit for the invoice

3. Scroll to the bottom of your invoice and choose Edit work info

4. Make the necessary changes and hit Save

If you require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to contact QuickBooks Self-Employed support.  They'll have the ability to work with you outside of Community and ensure you're able to accomplish your QuickBooks goals as soon as possible.

Feel free to reach back out with other questions.  We'd be happy to help!

There is no “save” option in the invoice mobile app. A few months ago there was, but that feature seems to have been removed.

Hi davidsq,

Thanks for getting back to us here.  In QuickBooks Self-Employed, when you're logged into your account from a web browser, you can save an invoice as a draft by clicking the ▼ dropdown on the green button and select Save as draft.  In the app, you can send the invoice to your email address rather than the customer.  This will allow you to save the invoice to a folder.

Please feel free to submit any suggestions you may have by clicking on the Assistant, then type and enter Feedback.

I hope this helps.
