Hi useradam,

QuickBooks Online makes editing your templates easy to add your own personal touch to each. I can help with this.

At this time the only templates you can edit would be invoice, estimate and sales receipt. Since the Purchase order template is not part of that list you would not be able to add skus to it.

If you wish to have the ability to edit the purchase order template I recommend submitting feedback to our product development team to let them know you'd like to have that included. It's a simple process that you can do by following the steps in this article.

Have a great day!

This is the MOST important part of a PO is the PART NUMBER! I simply cant understand why QB does not care one bit about this. What a joke, I switched from desktop to online and all I am finding are more and more problems...... VERY disappointed and will never recommend this software to others.

Hi there @zx z and thanks for sharing your feedback on including a part number or SKU on a Purchase Order.

I know that this is important for many businesses so I hope you'll consider sharing Feedback as outlined in the reply above. One workaround that may be beneficial for you is to consider using the Message field on the Purchase Order, or the body of the email that's sent out with the Purchase Order. You could also consider saving it as the Item Description in your Products and Services list. This can be saved to your item profile, or manually entered while creating the Purchase Order

I'll be sure to pass along your feedback to my team, and I hope you'll do the same. Take care.
