Can you import the project name when importing an invoice for job costing?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! It's always a pleasure to see new faces! QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help keep your books balanced. Understanding what you can and cannot import into QuickBooks is important. I can provide some information about importing project names.

This isn't an option at this time in QuickBooks. You can import customers and sub-customers, however, the Project names has to be entered manually. Here is a helpful guide on how to change sub-customers into projects. I can see how being able to import project names to QuickBooks is  something that you'd like to see. I encourage you to leave feedback for our developers by heading to the Gear icon and selecting the Feedback option. Our developers view and considered each comment as they create features and updates for QuickBooks.
