Question

Can you match your Shopify deposits using a CSV upload with a column for the fees? Or is it best to use journal entries? The shopify connector won't sync far back enough

I'm currently working on catching up and completing my entire books for 2021 and I have roughly 20 Shopify deposits I need to reconcile. Also - if I use a journal entry, do I still need to make an invoice? Thanks in advance!

Hello jak-naturaldesig,

Welcome to the Community. QuickBooks allows you to match your transactions with ease using the powerful features offered in the program. I'll be happy to share more details so you're on the right path.

When it comes to matching transactions in QuickBooks, that's a process that's done after the transactions have been registered in your QuickBooks bank feed. These transactions can be uploaded manually using .CSV files or automatically by connecting your bank. Here's a helpful article that provides more info about connecting your bank:  Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

If you're unable to connect your bank account to the bank feed automatically, simply follow the steps in this article to see how to Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. Once you've uploaded your transactions, you can match them with ease using the guidance in this article here

Let me know if this info helps. I'll be one message away in case you have other questions. Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the day!

Consider using the trial version of a backup restore app before connecting the apps.
