Can you upload a signature to print on cheques using Quickbooks Desktop in Canada?

Hello,

I am working for a company that has recently been put in a difficult situation where the boss/owner has ended up in the hospital. All employees are trying to keep the company afloat as best we can in his absence but are running into issues with our signed cheques. The boss/owner is in the hospital in a different city, so every chance we get we send blank cheques with people visiting him for him to sign but he has a lot of difficulty doing so due to his medical issues. We saw that there was a way to upload a signature into QuickBooks desktop in the U.S to then automatically print it onto cheques but cannot find a way to do it on our own software. Just wondering if this is only a feature in the U.S or if we are missing something?

Hi aleahy1.

Being able to upload a signature to a cheque is a great way to save time not to mention your wrists also. I'd be happy to go over the uploading a signature option in QuickBooks Desktop.

Currently uploading a signature is a US version only feature. If you wish to have this feature added to the Canadian version you can send feedback to our development team by following these steps: Go to Help>Send Feedback Online>Product Suggestion. Another thing you can try is check out our third party apps page to see if there are any apps that allow you to upload a signature to a cheque. You can access the third party apps page by using this link. Just make sure the app you pick works for the region and version of your QuickBooks Desktop program.

If you have any questions let us know and we'd be happy to help!
