Our company is planning to switch to the multi-currency version of Quickbooks on-line including payroll. We currently use Quickbboks Enterprise. Has anyone made this switch? Did you loose any functionality? I've hear that the on-line version doesn't have the same features as desktop. Functionality would include importing and exporting data from an external sales system. Exporting financials into excel. Payroll etc.

Is there any particular reason why you are considering migrating data from QBD to QBO? In terms of features, QB Desktop offers more than QB Online. In terms of 3rd party applications, you will find many options to integrate with QB Online.

Like many companies, we faced lay-offs and, began working remotely when covid hit.  The finance team went from 4 down to 1.  I ran QBD as standalone software(no longer on a server).   Our company wishes to continue with remote work but, we need to hire additional accounting staff.  The switch from QBD Enterprise 22.0 to QBO would make that possible.  We are a mid-size company with a large database.  We do not use inventory. Multi-currency is a must.  I'm worried we will lose functionality but I have no idea what that will be.  I'm trying to find out what specifically QBD does that QBO cannot do before we make a switch.   The Advanced version seems to be the only version that allows the company to switch back to the desktop version.

If you are running a professional service company, you will be fine migrating data to QBO Essentials or Plus.

Do you have any reference that you can migrate data from QBO Advanced CA to QBD CA?
