Cannot change a category. it should be changed from expense to bill and I have had no success. error always appear and i have checked everything.

It sounds like you may be using the Receipts feature and trying to choose whether the image you're uploading and working with is for an expense or bill transaction, but you're running into this error. Even if that's not the exact area you're working in, when you encounter issues like this in QuickBooks Online, the best place to start is with troubleshooting the browser and internet connection to ensure that there's nothing in these areas causing the issue. I encourage you to go through the following steps one at a time.

  • Clear browser cache if using a browser
  • Try a browser if using the QuickBooks Online app for Windows/Mac (Note: The app for Windows/Mac is no longer a supported access point and may produce errors or other issues when working with the program, so it's best to use a browser.)
  • Try a private browser window
  • Try another browser type
  • Make sure you're using a supported browser and system
  • Reset your Internet or try on another computer or device
