It's vital that all your records are kept up to date. QuickBooks Desktop is a great tool able to help you keep track of your books on your computer without having to connect to the internet. I can point you in the right direction to import information from QuickBooks Online. 

While there isn't a way to import all information from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop, You can export reports from QuickBooks Online to Excel files in order to import them into QuickBooks Desktop. In order to do so, you can follow the steps in this guide.

QBD 2016 is outdated. You need to use TP Exporter for Online and TP Importer for Desktop.
