Conversion from desktop to online Quickbooks and T4s

We intend to convert from QBDB to online in the middle of the year. I understand that the paycheck details will not be converted; there will only be the net payment amount. How will QB print T4s and the T4 Summary online at the end of the year if there is no detailed payroll information, including deductions and contributions, for each employee?

 

I would greatly appreciate any help.

It's a pleasure to see you in Community.  Welcome!  Transitioning from QuickBooks Desktop, to QuickBooks Online can be done seamlessly.  As you're aware, payroll information doesn't transfer.  You've asked a great question, for which I'm sure other Community members may be wondering as well.  I would be happy to provide some insight here!

 

When you're ready to set up your employees for QuickBooks Online Payroll, you'll be able to enter their year-to-date information.  This will ensure accuracy with the associated forms.  

 

In addition, we do provide a free QuickBooks Online Payroll onboarding session, to assist you with setting up your payroll, so you can pay your staff with confidence.  To book your onboarding session, contact our Customer Care team at 1-855-253-1536 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM EST.
