Creating a PO out of an Estimate with the same customer information

I use some custum fields under additinoal information tab that automatically apears through out the Estimate / Invoice process however when I create a PO the information is saved from the last PO's customer additional information which requires this information to be deleted and the correct information entered into these fields. Is there a way to have this desired information from the estimate appear rather than the default last information?

Hi Big Mike1,

 

Dealing with data from previous transactions can get in the way of things and I'm here to help. QuickBooks Desktop is a powerful program which enables you to get ahead with your work. I'd be glad to share more info on this. 

 

Based on what you've described, I recommend turning off the Autofill feature which is causing info from the last transaction to be brought up again on the new transactions. Here's how: 

  1. Click Edit menu at the top.
  2. From the list, select Preferences.
  3. On the Preferences window, hover to the General topic.
  4. Under Automatically Recall Information section, uncheck the Automatically remember account or transaction information box.
  5. Click OK.
