Hello,

I spend a few hours (I will not say how many but enough to get get really mad) to set up custom reports on QBO app, then I went back on QBO on Google browser to compare a few things and then when I came back to QBO application, it seemed like QBO synchronized to retrieve all custom reports from QBO browser and it deleted all my customs reports from QBO app.

Also I do not know if it is linked but My QBO app does not stay connected, even if the little box is checked. I reinstalled the app and I emptied my cache on google Chrome web browser.

SO my direct question is should I choose between QBO browser and QBO app ? Or can use both ?

QBO app is supposed to be faster but it has been two weeks now and I feel that QBO browser is still faster...

Thanks for you help :)

Hi Benji09,

Time is of the essence especially when you're working on something important such as your business. QuickBooks is carefully designed so business owners like you can utilize the program and help take your accounting to the next level. I'll be glad to share more insights so you can continue being great at managing your business.

Creating custom reports is a great way to filter specific accounts or customers in order to see how your business is doing. After creating a custom report, it's vital to double-check that you've completely saved the customization. Here's how:

  1. After you customize a report, select Save customization.
  2. Give your report a name.
  3. Select Save.

Once you've saved the report on the QBO app, changes will automatically show on the web browser. I'd recommend refreshing the web browser so it reflects the changes. I also recommend referencing this helpful article which shows you how to: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online. It's important to note that the mobile app has limited capabilities compared to the web browser which offers all the features.

Based on the info you've provided, I encourage you to double-check your internet connection on your mobile phone as that determines how fast your apps can run. Another variable to consider is the app cache. You may need to clear your app cache as doing this allows the app to function more efficiently. Depending on which mobile device you're using, I recommend searching on any search engine to see how you can clear the app cache/data on your device.

QuickBooks provides maximum flexibility which allows you to work on both the mobile app and the web browser. It's vital to ensure you're saving your changes on both platforms before switching between them. Give the steps above a try and keep me posted on how you make out. I'm here to help get you on track.
