When I upgraded to Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2020, it changed my date format. I would like to reset it so it is mo/day/year

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Hello 12Tania,

It's awesome to hear that you've upgraded to QuickBooks Desktop 2020. I hope you're enjoying all the new features the program has to offer. I'll include a link of what those are at the end of this response so you can take a look at them all.

Like with previous versions of the program, QuickBooks Desktop's date format is based on the date format of your computer. If you're not liking the date format you're seeing, check your Windows settings to make sure you have the one you want selected. Keep in mind that if you have the program installed on multiple computers that you'll want to make sure they're each using the same date format to keep things uniform.

That should get you on your way! Here's the article I mentioned: What's new in QuickBooks Desktop 2020

Enjoy the rest of your day!

I am trying to change the date format in QuickBooks Desktop to DD-MM-YYYY (e.g., 31-02-2025), but the option to start with the day is not available. The format always shows the month first (MM-DD-YYYY).

I have already followed the described method of changing the date format in, but QuickBooks still does not display the date in the correct order.

Is there any way to force QuickBooks Desktop to use DD-MM-YYYY? Any help would be appreciated!

Let me know if you want to add more details! 😊
