Deleting accountant in quickbooks online

I am primary admin, need to delete an accountant . No drop down actions

Thanks for reaching out in the Community. I'd be happy to help you with deleting an accountant user in your QuickBooks Online account.

 

Here are the steps to follow for deleting an accountant user as a primary admin: 

 

1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
2. Select Manage Users.
3. Go to the Accounting firms section, choose Accountant row.
4. Select Delete.
5. Click Yes to confirm.

If you are still unable to see the Delete option in the drop-down Action column, it could be that the accountant is still the current master admin or the subscription was created using their login.

 

If there's still a way you can reach out to the accountant, it would be best to give them a call so they can remove you from the wholesale billing. This way, you will get full access back to your account once you've updated your billing info.


In addition, I recommend contacting our phone support. They can double-check your company ID and help you in removing the accountant to the company. Here's how:
 

  • Select Help (?) at the top right.
  • Click the Contact Us button.
  • Type "Help" in the description.
  • Hit Let's talk.
  • Select Get a callback.
