Question

Do I document transactions from my visa card if I already documented a transaction made from my debit card to pay off my visa card? If so can I do it without duplicating?

is there also any easier way to document expenses vs. manually entering each one?

Hi hello194,

It's great to have you reach out to us here. I can see the benefit of being able to document your transactions so you can manage them with ease. Rest assured, I'll be happy to give you a hand so you're on the right track with accomplishing your QuickBooks goals.

Making sure you're recording your transactions properly is an essential step for maintaining clean books. To ensure accuracy in your books, I recommend reaching out to an accounting professional for expert advice on how to record the transactions. If you're not in contact with a professional, don't worry, you can search for one using this link here.

I'll leave this question open in the Community so other accountant users can share their advice. Otherwise, here's a helpful article that shows you how to enter expenses into QuickBooks. In case you haven't already, I recommend connecting your bank to QuickBooks so your transactions can automatically sync, allowing you to save time for the things you love. Here's an article that shows you how to: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online

Give this a try and let me know what happens. I'll be one message away in case you need anything else. Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the week!
