I've got an employee who is set up in QBO twice.  The system won't let me merge them...the inactive employee record has the correct SIN but the active record does not and won't let me change or delete either.  I'm trying to fix her current T4.

Hi there Cheryl Piper,

 

It's important that all of your employees are set up properly so that your payroll totals can be well-balanced. QuickBooks Online Payroll is a great tool able to help you keep track of payroll and deductions for the year to know the amount for your year-end forms. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with this duplicate employee.

 

For assistance with removing this duplicate employee, and setting p the correct SIN on the remaining employee, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to view both employees in the system with you and assist in making sure only one is left, and it's set up properly. You can reach them using these steps:

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
