EQ Bank Business Account Connection in QuickBooks Online

EQ Bank has officially released their business banking accounts, and myself and some of my clients are interested in opening an account. However, QuickBooks still does not support an automatic connection with EQ Bank and it's making me hesitant to switch or recommend the switch to my clients since it requires extra work for me as a bookkeeper and my clients to manually upload transactions from a statement.

I would love to know if this is actively being worked on and to know if other people are also frustrated that this isn't a feature in QuickBooks yet. EQ's banking model is very supportive for small business and I really want to use them and promote them, but this lack of functionality from QuickBooks' end is very annoying!

Hi DJBrunelle,

Welcome to the Community. QuickBooks Online is a great program that gives you the ability to easily track your sales and expenses. I'd be glad to help. You can request for banking access in QuickBooks using the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Banking/Transactions menu.
  2. Click on Link account.
  3. Search for the name of your financial institution. If QuickBooks is unable to find your bank, you will get the message, "Hmm, we can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported banks."
  4. If you’re unable to find your bank, click on Request support for your bank.
  5. Enter your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request.

If you'd like to include an feature in QuickBooks Online, I recommend that you send us Feedback by clicking on the Gear icon at the top. This is sent to our Development Team to consider for future updates.

Feel free to reach out if you have other questions, I'll be happy to help.
