In quickbooks desktop you can see whether an expense, cheque or credit card charge has cleared when you click on them.  Is there a way to see the same in the online version?

Hey Liz,

Thanks for being such an awesome part of the QuickBooks family! Due to the focus on simplifying your bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online can seem quite different from the Desktop version. The system is designed to add convenience to the robust accounting capabilities you're used to, so you can save even more time. There are a couple ways to see if a transaction has been cleared. I can show you how.

The simplest way to see a list of your transactions with their status is from the Accounting > Chart of Accounts section. Simply click Account history for the account in question, and you'll see a column displaying a C, an R, or nothing. The indicates the transaction has been cleared (either manually, or by matching it with a bank transaction), and the R is displayed for reconciled transactions. You can also see the status for any specific transaction you have open. Just click More at the bottom and select Audit history. You'll see a CLR field if you expand the most recent edit.

Hope this helps!
