Is there away to create a greater/less than filter for amounts within a report for a specific account.  For example, if I want to find all the amounts of office expenses >$100 how would I be able to do that?  I know there's an amount filter option under Customize but what's the value must be entered in that field?  If tried entering ">100" and ">$100" (without quotes) and they don't seem to work.

Hello,

Having access to the right reports is important for your business. QuickBooks online lets you generate reports that you can easily customize and fine-tune to a certain extent. The option to create custom filters is not integrated in the system at the moment. You can use the default filters and sorting options to get the result you need. The amount filter will bring up all the transactions that correspond to the amount listed in the filter field. Using symbols will not display any results.

To find all the amounts greater than a certain number, you can sort the report by amount in ascending or descending order. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Select Reports
  2. Find the report you with to use
  3. Select the Report period
  4. Select Run report
  5. Select Sort
  6. Select Amount or Net Amount depending on the report
  7. Select Ascending order or Descending order
