Question

For personal accounts before I get too far into it. How do I modify transaction to say all personal so they are not included in my business in bulk transactions?

Personal account has 90% personal transactions and I think I mistakenly added them as business transactions. Do I need to void all records or is it possible to convert all my records to personal in bulk and select the ones that are business one by one?

Hi Scott G,

QuickBooks Online is a dynamic program that enables you to get your work done faster so you can spend time on the things you love. I'll be happy to share more information about utilizing the bank module so your transactions can be categorized the right way.

Based on what you've described, I recommend bulk editing the transactions in question through the Banking tab. If your transactions are already categorized, click on the Categorized tab from the Banking menu > select the transactions in question and hit Undo. Doing this will place the transactions in the For Review tab and this is where you'll re-categorize your transactions. Click on the For Review tab > select all the transactions in question > hit Update at the top bar > from here, enter the correct category for your transactions > hit Apply and or Apply and accept in order to add those transactions back into the Categorized tab. This is the method you can use to re-categorize your transactions at once.

I encourage you to try this out and let me know how you make out. I'll be on standby in case you need further assistance. Otherwise, enjoy the rest of your week.
