Question

Getting an unknown error message when trying to transfer company admin priviledges to new accoutnant. Have cleared cache, changed browsers, nothing working. What next?

Being able to change the Primary admin without running into any issues is important. Only the Primary Admin is authorized to manage users in the account. You will also want to ensure the email address is different from the Accountant user. In this article, you'll find the step by step instructions on how to change the Primary admin. If you have followed these steps, and are still receiving the same error message, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen to better assist you. You can reach them by following one of these methods: 

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
