Getting started as a bookkeeper
Hello everyone,
I am a recent graduate with a postgraduate certificate in Accounting. I want to work as a bookkeeper in Canada. As I was looking to apply for bookkeeper jobs, I realize most of the companies require Quickbooks certification or Quickbooks experience. Even though I did my postgraduate certification in Accounting, I never got the opportunity actually to learn the Quickbooks software. It was only when I started looking for bookkeeper job, I found out that Quickbooks certification/experience is actually required. However, I am not sure how to get started with the training and certifications as there are several versions of Quickbooks. I would really appreciate if any of the community members could help me figure out how to get started with Quickbooks and some advice on how to get hired as a bookkeeper.
