Question

Had issues connecting to RBC by linking accounts from QBO. Yesterday, I connected using the app. I cannot get CC transactions. Can I stop the linkage from inside QBO?

Does using the RBC Oay & Sync app override the traditional linking of accounts from inside QBO? The latter keeps requesting MFA and takes forever to sync.  Is it possible to stop connecting to RBC via the "link account" method and use only the "RBC Pay & Sync" app?

Hi eben-b-benalika-,

Welcome to Community! Connecting your bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online is a great way to save valuable time updating your transactions.  When you have your accounts connected, there's no need for a third party app, as this could present duplicate transactions.  However, if you wish to proceed with the app, you can disconnect your bank from QuickBooks Online.  Here's how;

1. From the left menu, open Transactions, then Bank transactions

2. Click on the blue tile for the bank account

3. Tap the Edit 📝, then Edit account info

4. Select the Disconnect this account on save checkbox
Note: If QuickBooks is downloading new transactions, you won't see this option. Wait a few minutes for the update to finish and try again.

5. Hit Save and Close.
