Historical Payroll Data QBO Canada

I cannot for the life of me find out how to add historical payroll data for my employees, I have not run any payrolls yet, and I keep getting links to pages with steps that I don't see! I even re added my employees but I still don't get the "How much have you paid them this year?" Message I am supposedly to be able to see. Can someone please help!!

You can import your payroll historical data as JE.

Welcome to the Community. Being able to run payroll is essential to ensure that your employees are paid. QuickBooks Online with payroll is a great program that gives you the ability to pay your employees and simply track your remittances. I'd be glad to point in the right direction regarding the historical payroll data.

 

When you setup a new employee, there's an option to enter the historical payroll on the employee profile. If this option doesn't appear, it may be due browser cache and cookies as they can prevent the system from functioning efficiently. I encourage you to refer to the following steps to complete the browser troubleshootings.
 


Also, If you haven't run payroll and you have completed the browser troubleshootings steps, I recommend that you contact our customer support team as they can verify your activate and reactive the historical payroll option in the back end. Here are some options available to reach out to our customer support team.
 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.

UPDATE: I was told there is a glitch, and I now need to fill out a spreadsheet with the historical information and send it back.
