Welcome to the Community. Being able to run payroll is essential to ensure that your employees are paid. QuickBooks Online with payroll is a great program that gives you the ability to pay your employees and simply track your remittances. I'd be glad to point in the right direction regarding the historical payroll data.

When you setup a new employee, there's an option to enter the historical payroll on the employee profile. If this option doesn't appear, it may be due browser cache and cookies as they can prevent the system from functioning efficiently. I encourage you to refer to the following steps to complete the browser troubleshootings.
 

• Clear browser cache.
• Try in a private browser window
• Use another browser type.
• Make sure you're using supported browsers.
• Turn off any ad and popup blockers temporarily.

Also, If you haven't run payroll and you have completed the browser troubleshootings steps, I recommend that you contact our customer support team as they can verify your activate and reactive the historical payroll option in the back end.
