How can I fix a transaction that was applied to the incorrect account in quickbooks online essentials ?

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online has the features you need to correct your transactions seamlessly.  I'll be happy to show you how!

 

Follow these steps to edit the transaction;

 

1. Click on Settings ⚙ in the top right 

2. Select Chart of accounts

3. Locate the account the transaction is in and open Account history in the Action column

4. Click on the transaction and select Edit

5. Make the necessary changes and then hit Save or Save and close
