Hi francine-hawkigs,

Thanks for connecting with us here. QuickBooks Online is a versatile program that helps you get ahead with your work. I'll be happy to steer you in the right direction so you can get back to doing what you love.

The ability to import opening balances for your customers is unavailable at this time time. I can see how useful it would be to have this feature and I encourage you to send feedback about this to our engineers. You can do this by clicking the Gear icon and navigating to Feedback. In the meantime, feel free to ask other questions, I'm here to help.

Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the week.

Is there a way to manually update each customer's balance? Do I need to add Credit Notes and Invoices to adjust the balances?

My customers were created by API between QB and my billing software. So customers are already created, but opening balances were not included to allow proper accounting. I require finding a way to adjust these clients, or I can not use QB and will have to cancel my subscription.

@francine-hawkigs

You can prepare a single invoice or credit note for each of your customers and utilize a 3rd party tool to import data in bulk.
