how do I cancel auto pay of payroll taxes so I can pay outside of quickbooks

We can use the steps below to turn off auto payroll or unenroll specific employees in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Before that, ensure you have no pending or scheduled pay runs:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll settings.
   
2. In the Auto Payroll box, click Edit or the pencil icon.
   
3. Uncheck employees to remove them from Auto Payroll
4. Select one or more of the enrolled employees.
5. Click the Save Changes button.
   
6. Review the confirmation window, then select Done.

Since you switch to paying your taxes outside QuickBooks, you can record these payments to keep your records accurate and avoid any tax dues on your payroll product.
