I know how important it is to make sure that details like the principal officer information are up-to-date in QuickBooks Online. I'd be happy to show you how you can go about changing this information so that you can get back to the rest of your work.

 

Typically when someone is asking about changing the principal officer, they're referring to the person associated with QuickBooks Online Payroll direct deposit. If that's what you mean as well, changing this information is done through the Payroll settings. Here's a breakdown of the steps.

  1. Select the Gear icon in the top right.
  2. Choose Payroll settings.
  3. Click the Direct Deposit option.

In that section, you should be able to change the principal officer information for the account, as well as any other banking information you'd like. Please note that when you change the principal officer information that our team may send out an email requesting for verification information from you, so keep an eye out for that.
