How do I change the starting number in Quickbooks online?

Welcome to the Community! I can see how having the ability to customize your invoice numbers in QuickBooks Online would allow you to have greater flexibility with your bookkeeping. Don't worry, I can walk you through how to enable this feature. 

Here's how you can enable the setting to allow the use of custom transaction (invoice) numbers:

• Navigate to the Gear icon towards the top right, then click Account and Settings.
• Select Sales, then click anywhere within the Sales form content section.
• Tick the box next to Custom transaction numbers.
• Click Save and then Done.

After completing these steps, open an invoice and enter the custom number sequence you want to use within the Invoice no. field. Your sales forms will then follow this sequence whenever a new transaction is created.
