How do I create a customer and a supplier with the same name

I have a client who regularly has a customer who's a client one week and then purchases from them a different week because they are construction business.

I used to be able to do it, but not now.

 

Please help?

Hi lisahazlett,

 

QuickBooks Online will detect if you're using the same vendor's or customer's name and won't save the information. You'll want to add a period to the end to make it different.

Make sure to add it in the Display name as field.
