Question

How do I get the date field not to automatically populate with previous transaction date?

When inputting invoices or bills the date field will automatically populate with the previous entry date.  I want to plug in my own date. How do I turn off the automatic date?

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online provides an option to use the previous data when recording transactions.  This feature can be turned off at any time.  I would be happy to show you how!

 

Follow these steps to turn off automation, to ensure that the correct date will be used on your sales forms;

 

1. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings

2. From the Advanced tab, select the Edit 📝 for the Automation section

3. Turn off Pre-fill forms with previously entered content

4. Hit Save, then Done.
