Hey jb357,

I'm happy to see you're ready to upgrade to the most recent release! Using the 2020 version ensures you'll be able to keep using the powerful features you're used to with all the added enhancements. If the software is still saying you have 2019, there's a good chance the upgrade didn't finish. I'll be happy to help you sort this out.

Installing QuickBooks 2020 only takes a few easy steps:

  1. Sign in to Windows as an admin user.
  2. If you haven't already, download your new version of QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Follow the steps to install your new version

Once that's done, you'll only need to do some minor preparation before you can upgrade your company file. Check out this great guide for detailed steps: Upgrade your company files after switching to a new version of QuickBooks Desktop

If you're still seeing 2019 after following these steps, feel free to reach out to an agent for additional assistance.  Check out our QuickBooks Desktop software support policies to read about the options available. Desktop support is currently available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET due to the impact COVID-19, but you can expect the same quality of support you're used to.

Let me know how this goes! I want to make sure you can take advantage of all the new enhancements.
