How do I match square deposits when they keep coming up with a tax error code?

Any deposits with multiple transactions will not match...keeps saying..We couldn't Match the transaction(s) due to "Were sorry, QuickBooks encountered an error while calculating tax. Try reselecting the tax rate or reentering the product/service item and saving the form again.". Check account mapping in advanced settings and try again.

It's nice to see you reaching out to the Community for support. I'd be happy to provide some information about matching your square transactions with QuickBooks Online! 

 

To ensure a smooth transition, you'll need to ensure the sales tax codes are identical between Square and QuickBooks, so they'll be automatically mapped to the correct account.   I suggest verifying this by reviewing the Sales Tax setup, by logging into both the Square website and your QuickBooks Online account. You can also follow these steps to check the app settings in QuickBooks Online:

 

1. Open Transactions and proceed to the App Transactions tab

2. Click on App settings
