Hello Melanie,

It's great to see that you're taking advantage of QuickBooks Online's bank feed feature to reduce manual entry and save yourself valuable time. I can give you some guidance on how to adjust the sales tax related to a bank feed transaction.

Within the Banking tab, there isn't a way to actually change the sales tax amount, only to select the applicable sales tax code. I understand there are certain situations, such as restaurant receipts with tips, where calculating the sales tax based on the total doesn't quite work like normal. In these situations, you'll need to manually post the transaction before hand as an Expense or Bill, then Match this to the downloaded transaction. This way, you can tell the system exactly how much the sales tax amount should be since you're able to override that amount when creating the expense.
