how to change a date for a bank deposit

Being able to download your bank deposit records into your QuickBooks Desktop program is a great way to make sure no transaction gets left behind. I'd be happy to help you with this.

QuickBooks Desktop gives you the ability to change information easily so you can get back to business. If you're looking to change the deposit date of a transaction you made into your QuickBooks Company file you just need to pull the deposit entry by going to Record Deposits and using the Find or back arrow to select it and change the date on it. If you're looking to change the date from a transaction you downloaded from your bank then that isn't something that can be done. This is due to the downloaded bank feed being the exact information the bank has on the deposit.

If you wish to be able to edit your bank feed downloads I recommend sending feedback to our developers by going to Help>Send Feedback Online>Product Suggestions. Once they receive your feedback they'll look into ways that they could possibly add this in future updates.
