how to change category name as I have entered two names for the same account - can I delete one or combine them

In QuickBooks, you can make an unwanted account inactive by following the steps below:

1. Click Settings ⚙ and select Chart of accounts.
2. Find the account you want to delete.
3. Click on the Action ▼ dropdown and select Make inactive.

Editing your chart of accounts has never been easier with QuickBooks Online. Here's how:

1. Select Accounting from the left menu.
2. Locate the account you'd like to edit.
3. Select the drop down arrow next to Account history or Run report (depending on the account).
4. Select Edit.
5. Make all desired changes and click Save and Close.
