How can I create a Packing Slip in QuickBooks Pro Desktop 2024 to send with the completed job BEFORE Invoicing?

It seems that you have to create an invoice first in order to create the Packing Slip.  Is there any way around this?

Thank you.

Hello Milo123,

Glad to hear from you again. I'll be happy to provide the info you need so you can move forward and complete your QuickBooks goals with ease.

To get started, it's important to note that you need to have either an invoice or a sales order in QuickBooks Desktop. For options that go beyond the invoice and sales order, I recommend sending this as feedback to our product developers. You can send feedback by clicking on the Help menu and looking for Send Feedback Online

1. Navigate to the Form and open the invoice or sales order for which you want to create a packing slip.
2. Click on the "Print" icon at the top of the form. This will open the Print window.
3. In the Print window, locate the "Form Name" dropdown menu. Select "Packing Slip" from the list of available forms.
4. You can customize the packing slip by clicking on the "Customize" button in the Print window. Here, you can adjust the layout, font, and other settings for the packing slip.
5. Click on the "Preview" button to see how the packing slip will look before printing.
6. Once you are satisfied with the preview, click on the "Print" button to print the packing slip.

Let me know if this info helps. I'll be a message away in case you have other questions.
