How to record security deposit issued by landlord's real estate after deducted commission

I'm the landlord - Amy, my tenant issued a security deposit cheque to his tenant's agent and both landlord and tenant's agents deducted their commission from the cheque and re-issue the remaining amount of a cheque to me by my real estate agent's company. How do I record this?

Being able to track your tenants security deposit in QuickBooks Online is crucial to keep your accounts accurate and track which tenants have paid. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction to get this entered.

 

In order to enter the deducted commission and track the security deposit I recommend contacting your accountant as they are trained in how to make these kinds of entries.
