How to remove all transactions from copy of the company to get a fresh start

Hi,

We need to keep all the lists but to remove all transactions from the copy of the company to get a fresh start. In this info Create new company files from existing ones in QuickBooks Desktop it is explained how easily it's done with Condense Data utility. The only thing is not mentioned that this utility is only available in US version of QB. There is no one for Canada.
My question is why? Is there any reason why Condense Data utility is not available for all users?

I can understand how beneficial it would be to have the Condense Data utility available for QuickBooks Desktop customers in Canada.  This may be due to some differences within the Canadian and U.S. product capabilities.  However, I do encourage you to submit a suggestion to our Development Team, so they can work on providing this in future updates.  Here's how;

 

1. Select the Help option, then Send Feedback Online

2. Open the Product Suggestion option

3. Enter your suggestion, then hit Send Feedback.

Thanks for reaching out to us here.  We can understand the need to get a fresh start with QuickBooks Desktop.  As you're aware, the Condense Data utility is not available with QuickBooks Canada.  However, I would be happy to provide the information you need, to create a new company file using data from your existing one!  

 

Before getting started, you'll Create a QuickBooks Desktop company file with the data that you'd like to carry over.  It's important that you give your new company file a unique name so that QuickBooks doesn't accidentally overwrite your data.  Proceed by following this guide with the steps for exporting lists from a QuickBooks company file to another.

I understand the other way around with creation of the new company and then importing the lists. I just don't understand why the Condense Data is not available in Canada. Any reason why? Thank you!
