I am for some reason not able to enter mileage under Expenses. Error message is You can't access mileageYou don't have permission.

Thanks for reaching out about your mileage. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of sales and expenses so you know the amount of profit of your company. I can provide some information about mileage and user permissions.

 

If you're set up as a regular user and not an admin, that would be why you don't have access to the mileage section as only the Primary admin and other admins on the account have access to the mileage tracking features. This information can be viewed under the Turn on mileage tracking header of this article.

 

If you're an admin level user, and get this message, one possible cause would be Browsing data. These temporary files can accumulate and cause errors like the one you're seeing in any cloud-based software like QuickBooks Online. You can resolve errors caused by browsing data using these methods:
