Hi there,

Keeping track of your expenses is made so simple with QuickBooks Online and the new Receipt Scan tool. I know how important it is to stay organized and link your receipts with their corresponding expense. I'd be happy to shed some light on how this works, and point you in the right direction for further assistance.

The Receipt Scan tool allows you to snap a photo of your receipt and upload it to QBO. After it's been uploaded, QBO will extract the information and generate an expense for you. You can complete a review process as well, allowing you to make any necessary changes or adjustments to the data that QBO scanned.

If you're having trouble with this process, check out this comprehensive article for more information and step-by-step instructions: Capture and categorize receipts and bills.

If you only have one bank account synced with QBO, don't worry. You can still match your expense receipt as long as the transaction is appearing in the bank feed. If an imported banking transaction and a receipt are both in For Review, QuickBooks won’t suggest a match until you select Add for one of them.

I hope this helps get you back on track. If you're still unsure how to resolve your issue, please don't hesitate to reach out to our tech support team. We're here to help.

Cheers!
