Question

I am moving from Freshbooks to QB and have managed to import all of my invoices but they have ALL imported with either a status of overdue or open! Please help!

I know how important it's to ensure accuracy across your books when moving from one software to another. I'd be happy to help you with this.

 

QuickBooks Online is equipped with powerful tools to facilitate the migration of data in and out of the software. It sounds like you've used the import feature in the program to Import multiple invoices at once. Because the mapping step to bring your invoices over doesn't include invoice payments, you wouldn't see your paid invoices as paid post-migration. To mark those invoices as Paid in the program, you'd have to go to the +New button in the left menu and select Receive payment. In case you've used a third-party app to assist you with migrating your invoices, I encourage you to reach out to their tech support team to verify if the process went through as designed. You can find the contact information of third-party apps connected via the QuickBooks' App Centre using the following steps. 

  1. Go to the Apps menu.
  2. Choose My Apps.
  3. Select the app you used.
  4. Find the contact details in the App information sidebar.
