Question

I am new to accounting. I synced my information to the bank account and got the 2019 information. I now can't get the 2020 information. Is anyone able to help?

Hi there,

Welcome to the Community. This is a great place for newbies to get acquainted with the program. Rest assured, I got your back.

The bank feed is an essential part of QuickBooks which allows you to manage your transactions. It's important your transactions are up to date so you can focus on managing your business. Good job on syncing your 2019 transactions. I'd be happy to show you how to upload the 2020 transactions.

Based on what you've described, it sounds like you've connected your bank to QuickBooks. If that's the case I encourage you to manually update your transactions and check if they're not going in the For Review tab instead. If they're going in the For Review tab, you'd have to accept them and transfer them to your QuickBooks account.

Here's how to manually update your transactions:

1. Click the Banking tab.

2. Select the account you'd like to update.

3. Choose the Update button in the top right corner.

Items will be pulled from the bank and show in the For Review tab. From here you can decide whether or not to accept the transactions in the register. This article offers additional information on manually upload bank transactions: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Give this a try and if you're still having issues, I recommend contacting our support team using this link.
