Hello brayedeanltd-gma, and welcome!

Syncing your credit card account to QuickBooks Online is a great option for manage your business transactions more easily, and it's important to me that you're able to take advantage of this feature for your books. I appreciate the detail on what's happening when you try to connect your credit card, and I'd be happy to shed some light on this.

I definitely see how the message you're receiving about foreign transactions being strange when the credit card you're using is in Canadian currency. For some banks, the configuration calls for an upgrade to connect the feed for multicurrency simply because that's how it's been created and programmed into QuickBooks Online. The message, in this case, is more about the bank overall and whether it deals with multiple currencies rather than the specific connection you're hoping to establish. For instance, I have a feeling this may be the message you're getting.

If that's the message you see, an upgrade is in order to be able to use this bank feed connection. Feel free to evaluate if this is the right step for you by comparing the features one our websites QuickBooks Online Pricing page, however, if you'd like to upgrade, please follow the steps in our Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription article, otherwise you'll end up with a duplicate subscription.

If upgrading isn't the right step for you, you can manually upload transactions from your bank and work with them the same way you would the bank feed. The article Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online can guide you through this process so that you can see how it works. It's just a couple of extra steps each time, but it'll do the trick just the same.

I hope this has been helpful in explaining why you're seeing that message and in outlining the options to move forward with your bank and QuickBooks Online. If you have more questions though, feel free to reply and ask them here.

Have a great day.
