Hello Jeanne,

I know that it's important to be able to manually upload your older bank transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed. Luckily the process is straightforward once you've downloaded the transactions from your bank and I want to go over it with you.

When you're ready to import your transactions, you'll want to access QuickBooks Self-Employed from the internet browser on a computer rather than the mobile app. It's also important to note that you'll only be able to import transactions from January 1, 2014 forward. To import, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Settings gear.
  2. Choose Imports and select Import older transactions for the appropriate account.
  3. Hit Browse to find the the CSV file that you downloaded from your bank.
  4. Choose the file and hit Open to begin the import.
  5. Make sure the columns for DateDescription, and Amount on the CSV file match the order in QuickBooks to ensure that they'll import correctly.
  6. Hit Continue to complete the import process.

Now you'll be able to review the transactions for duplicates and delete them if necessary. If this doesn't quite do the trick however, the next step will be to reach out to our team of QuickBooks Self-Employed support. Follow this link to Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

Let me know if you've got any additional questions. It's what I'm here for.
