Question

I can't switch between companies. It comes up with an error message. I've been having to logout of one company and then log into the other company. How do I fix this?

It's great to see you in Community!  Welcome!  Having the ability to 'switch companies' is a valuable time saver, when you have more than one QuickBooks Online account.  I'd be happy to help!

 

Based on the information you've provided, it sounds like you have different email addresses associated with your sign in credentials.  However, if you use the same User ID and Email address for all of your QuickBooks Online accounts, you'll see the option to select the company you want to switch over to.  Follow these steps to edit your login credentials;

 

1. Log into one of your QuickBooks Online accounts

2. Click on your Profile badge in the top right

3. Select Manage your Intuit Account

4. Open Sign in & Security

5. Click on your User ID and make the necessary changes

6. Select the Email address and enter the same email you use for your other company

Note:  We recommend that your User ID and Email address are the same.

7. Hit Save

You're all set!  You should be able to proceed with the 'switch companies' feature and complete your QuickBooks goals in a timely fashion!
